Artist Statement: This artwork mixes sound and design to present a lively homage to baseball. As the crack of the ball hitting the bat is heard, the tiles roll back to reveal the baseball diamond. Each base pings with light and sound, almost like a pinball game, signifying a home run. As fast as it happened, the tiles close again, capturing the viewer in a brief moment of glory which truly makes baseball America's favorite pastime.
